One of the great feature of WordPress is its ability to allow administrator to easily change the appearance of a website by using a theme.

A WordPress theme provides all of the front-end styling of your WordPress site.

There are thousands of free themes available in the theme directory where you can install directly from your dashboard, while there are also tons of premium themes that you can purchase in some websites or theme authors like envato,, or themeforest.

Today, I’m going to show you how to find and install a WordPress theme directly from your WordPress dashboard.

  1. Login to your website dashboard.
  2. From the Admin Menus, go to Appearance -> Themes
  3. Click the Add New Theme at the bottom of the installed themes list.
  4. Browse and select the theme that will fit your website’s subject. Choose the theme that provides more control to the user in Appearance and functionality like colors, fonts, backgrounds, widgets, and sliders. You can also preview the theme before installing it to see how your site will look like when the theme is installed.
  5. Once you find the theme you need, click install.
  6. Activate the theme.

That’s it. Now that your theme is installed and activated, you can start customizing your theme to fit the style you wanted.
