After installing the theme, the next step you need to do is obviously to customize the theme.
Every theme has different ways to customize. Themes that are designed for older version of WordPress uses a theme options page for customization, while themes that are compatible with newer versions of WordPress can be customized using the Customizer.
The Customizer is a special page where you can see live preview of the changes you made for your site before saving it. It provides a simple and consistent interface for users to customize various aspects of their theme and their site, from colors and layouts to widgets, menus, and more.
The available controls in the Customizer is theme dependent. Usually, free themes has fewer Customizer controls compared to premium themes.
To access the Customizer:
- Login to your website dashboard.
- From the Admin Menus, go to
Appearance -> Customize. You can also find the Customizer link in the toolbar when viewing the site while logged in (only administrators can see the link).
